Beaver College
is situated on a 55-acre campus in suburban Philadelphia. ALA graduates may matriculate in
Beaver College as full-time undergraduate students if it is determined that they are
academically admissible. With ALA's recommendation, part-time study for credit and
auditing Beaver College classes are available for advanced ALA students. The American
Language Academy (ALA) has been providing intensive English language training for over a
quarter century. ALA programs are located at 9 university campuses, 2 boarding schools,
and 2 independent locations throughout the United States. Our programs feature five skill
levels and professional instruction using the latest technology... 
Drexel
University offers undergraduate and graduate classes through five colleges: Arts &
Sciences, Business & Administration, Engineering, Information Science &
Technology, and Nesbitt College of Design Arts. In addition to its high-quality academic
programs, Drexel provides opportunities for students to gain work experience through its
mandatory cooperative education program. The English Language Center offers 6 levels of
intensive English instruction as well as other programs designed to meet the needs of

Keystone College
is located in the scenic foothills of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our safe campus is
located within 2 and 1/2 hours from both Philadelphia and New York City. The college
prides itself on small classes and individualized attention to all of our students. After
achieving a 450 on the TOEFL, students can begin full time studies in over 40 different
majors. Keystone's Intensive English program is based on the campus. Students live with an
English speaking roomate. Keystone offers year round intensive English training. During

The University
of Pennsylvania (Penn) was founded in 1740 by Ben Franklin--the noted diplomat, author,
inventor, and scientist who discovered electricity. Penn is one of eight private
universities known as the Ivy League. Over 4,000 faculty members teach at Penn, including
nine who have received Nobel Prizes in recent years. Penn established the English Language
Programs (ELP) in the early 1960s. Each year, over 1,800 students from all over the world
come to study general English, business English, English for academic preparation, and
English for professions such as law, architecture, dental medicine, and nursing... 
The University
of Pittsburgh occupies a 120-acre campus in Oakland, the educational center of the city.
The ELI classrooms are located in the landmark 42-story Cathedral of Learning. Across the
street are art and natural history museums, libraries, theaters and concert halls, a
botanical garden and a large public park. The ELI was established in 1964 and thus is one
of America's oldest intensive English programs. The program is designed for people
interested in studying in a U.S. university and places an emphasis on the skills needed
for academic life; however, the classes are general enough to be of use to people wanting
to improve their overall English ability.
