Concordia is a
Christian university preparing leaders for the transformation of society. Concordia is
regionally accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member
of the Concordia University System, a nationwide consortium of ten Lutheran colleges and
universities.Located ina residential area of Northeast Portland, Concordia is about
fifteen minutes from downtown Portland and ten minutes from Portland International

Lewis &
Clark College is a small, academically selective, private four-year university enrolling
about 1800 students from throughout the United States, and 50 nations. The Institute for
the Study of American Language and Culture (ISALC) was established in 1972 and offers
intensive English programs and many special English courses. All faculty members have
advanced degrees in the field and extensive experience. Credit toward an undergraduate
degree is given by the ISALC, and students may be admitted as undergraduates pending
completion of their English studies...
