Hattiesburg is
in a small city of 60,000 located 112 km from the Gulf of Mexico and 176 km from New
Orleans, Louisiana. It offers a mild climate and friendly atmosphere. All university
campus services are available to the English Language Institute students. The University
of Southern Mississippi offers 45 undergraduate degree programs. Our program is Intensive
English, with 5 classes per day, 5 days per week. The language skills studied are reading,
writing, grammar, listening and speaking. Our focus is academic preparation, but we also
have many business people who study here to improve their English for their jobs.
